With a much shorter distance considered, NASCAR could theoretically get a "full" race in Wednesday night if rain hits the speedway and does not stop. In order for a NASCAR race to be declared "official" in the event the race must be called short of the finish, the halfway mark must be passed. In the case of Wednesday night's race, the halfway mark stands at approximately Lap ET and was moved up two hours in an attempt to avoid potential bad weather, ended up getting postponed to Thursday due to rain. The new time for Thursday's race was set for noon ET, but rain and lightning in the area again delayed the start of the race.
