Dome Sitting- Withing the dome, there are groupings of comfortable seating, including some cool chaise lounges. The daylighting from the skylights and the people watching make it a pleasant place to hang out.
The dome is remarkable. It was fun to watch all the I-phone owners trying out the new panorama feature to take pictures of the vast space. There is an informal restaurant and bar in one corner. The magnificent dome was an engineering marvel of its time.
We had fun with our i-phones, too. At night, you can watch the massive chandelier change colors.
On one side is this enormous whimsical hearth Spa- There are spas at both hotels with the usual offerings, both a treat for a rejuvenating respite. Pools- There are pleasant indoor and outdoor pools at both properties, on the small size. In the nice weather, it can be hard to find open lounge chairs together.
