This method is straightforward as you don't have to create any rule and you simply need to use the Delivery option to delay the sending according to your preferences. Step 1. While you are composing an email, click on the More options arrow icon.

It is displayed under the Tag group in the Ribbon. Step 2. Then navigate to the Delivery section. Step 3.

Under that section, find and check the 'Do not deliver before' checkbox. Then specify the delivery time and date of the email when you wish to send the email. Click the Close button.

When you've finished composing your email, click Send in the message window. A scheduled mail will be waiting in the Outbox folder until the specified delivery time. While in the Outbox, you are free to edit or delete the message. How to re-schedule sending an email If you've changed your mind at a later point, you can change or cancel a delayed delivery in this way: Open the message from the Outbox folder.

In the Properties dialog box, do one of the following: To send the message immediately, clear the "Do not deliver before" box. To re-schedule the email, choose another delivery date or time. In the message window, click Send. Depending on your choice in step 3, the message will either be sent right away or remain in the Outbox until the new delivery time.

Tips and notes: This option is only available in the desktop Outlook client, not in Outlook on the web. To change the number of minutes again, click the number link. If there are any exceptions to the rule, select them in the Step 1: Select exception s list box. The new rule is added to the list on the E-mail Rules tab.

All emails you send will now stay in the Outbox for the number of minutes you specified in the rule and then will be sent automatically. Follow the instructions below to set up rules for deferring sent email. Do not add any conditions. Click Next.
