Can this hurt Amazon? It does make sense for Amazon to make sure it hits the two-day window for Prime members, but its day free delivery window for non-members does put it at risk to lose customers to low-cost rivals like Wal-Mart NYSE:WMT.

That physical retail giant has been investing heavily in its website and digital products. That's still slow, but it's obviously sometimes better than the day window Amazon quotes non-Prime members if they want free delivery.

The resulting page will show how long you've been an Amazon Prime member, as well as the date you will be charged for your next year of Prime. If you have a bit of time before your trial ends or your membership renews, you can sign up for an email reminder three days before your renewal date.

I tested this on a bunch of different shopping categories and made sure it was all products sold and shipped directly by Amazon, and none could be delivered before Sunday, 6 days from NOW. At this point, give them your zip code and ask them to run it through their system to find out for sure whether your address qualifies for 2-day shipping.
