The ongoing campaign has witnessed four bus companies placing messages on “BUY DRUGS FROM LICENSED DRUG OUTLETS (PHARMACIES/DRUG SHOPS) NOT HAWKERS” on over fifty buses. The bus companies include Classic, Kalita, Baby Coach, YY Coaches and Friendship. This brings on board over 350 buses from 27 bus companies that ferry passengers between Kampala and the entire two regions (western and northern) of Uganda. The campaign will enable travelers appreciate the health risks associated with buying medicines from hawkers.
