This followed a series of meetings held with owners and operators of buses to stop the vice. The ongoing exercise that begun yesterday in Kampala has covered 35 buses from three bus companies (Global, Trinity and Gateway).
Hawking of medicine is illegal, and the persons dealing in the practice are unqualified, exposing the unsuspecting public to health risks resulting from products that are fake and expired.
This shall save passengers in buses from hawkers of drugs, leading to accessing medicines from licensed outlets, supervised by qualified medical personnel to provide better care and health service delivery.
