The National Drug Quality control laboratory of NDA extends its ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation to Glove testing.

ISO/IEC 17025 is the global quality standard for testing and calibration laboratories and forms the basis for accreditation. The NDA laboratory that is now ISO/IEC 17025 accredited has demonstrated that they are technically proficient and able to produce precise and accurate test results.

The NDQCL has been assessed by ANAB for its ability to produce precise, accurate test results and found complaint. The scope of accreditation includes both male latex condoms and medical gloves.

To ensure continued compliance, the NDA laboratory is regularly re-assessed to check that they are maintaining their standard of technical expertise.

How does this benefit the customer?

ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation helps to minimize risks by ensuring that testing is carried out by a technically competent laboratory that has a sound quality system in place. This also allows the client to avoid expensive retesting, thus enhancing confidence in a product by assuring that it has been thoroughly evaluated by a competent testing laboratory that has been assessed by a third party.

This further gives confidence to the public about the quality of products on the market.
