National Drug Authority ( NDA) was established by an Act of Parliament, the National Drug Policy and Authority (NDP & A) Act, Cap 206 of the laws of Uganda. The Authority is mandated to ensure the availability at all times of essential, efficacious, and cost effective drugs to the entire population of Uganda, as a means of providing satisfactory healthcare and safeguarding the appropriate use of drugs Section 65 of the NDP & A act provides for the Minister after consulting the Authority by statutory order to amend the first, second, third, fourth, fifth, sixth, seventh and eighth schedules to the National Policy & Authority Act. NDA has initiated the process of amending the drugs in the first, second and third schedules of the NDP & A Act. A stakeholder consultative meeting on the proposed amendment to the drug schedules has been organized. Your institution has been identified as a key stakeholder in this process, and you are therefore requested to nominate one (1) technical expert in this area to participate in this meeting. The meeting is scheduled for Thursday 20th September 2018 at Golf Course Hotel from 8:00 a.m to 1:00 p.m
